Plaza Premium Group is preparing to bring its hotel and lounge brands to Sydney Airport in 2020.
A 20-room Aerotel will open in the arrivals hall in the international terminal early next year, group CEO Song Hoi-see told Australian Financial Review.
Aerotel is a pay-per-hour hotel brand which recently opened properties in Heathrow Terminal 3 and the new Beijing Daxing airport.
Rooms are usually bookable for between six and 24 hours and feature ensuites, wifi and a wake-up call service.

Plaza Premium established Aerotel at Singapore’s Changi Airport in 2016, and has since expanded it to Abu Dhabi, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Rio de Janeiro, Kuala Lumpur, Cebu and Muscat.
While Plaza Premium currently manages lounges at Sydney, it plans to open its first Plaza Premium Lounge at the airport next year. We have contacted the group for further details.
In an interview with Business Traveller earlier this year, Song Hoi-see outlined plans to expand the Plaza Premium Lounge brand, which is currently in 44 airports in 21 countries, within the US, China, India and Indonesia.
Denver International and Dallas Fort Worth are set to get lounges next year, while the group is looking at Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Seattle, Atlanta, Houston, Miami, Philadelphia, Newark, JFK and Dulles.
