Artyzen Hospitality Group, a Hong Kong-based hotel management company, plans to open seven projects across mainland China and Singapore in the next three years.

The company, which launched in 2013, will open the following properties for its Artyzen Hotel and Artyzen Habitat brands in Singapore and across mainland China:

  • Artyzen Habitat Qiantan Shanghai (2021)
  • Artyzen Habitat Lingang Shanghai (2021)
  • Artyzen Lingang Shanghai (2021)
  • Artyzen Habitat Hengqin Zhuhai (2021)
  • Artyzen Habitat Taopu Shanghai (2022)
  • Artyzen Cuscaden Singapore (2022)
  • Artyzen New Bund 31 Qiantan Shanghai (2023)

The new properties in Shanghai are mainly located in three areas: Qiantan, Lingang and Taopu. Situated next to the Shanghai Oriental Sports Centre by the Huangpu River, Qiantan is currently being developed as the New Bund International Business District, and is trying to evolve into Shanghai’s second Lujiazui (currently Shanghai’s central business district).

Lingang is located at the southeastern coastal area of Pudong in proximity to Pudong International Airport and the Yangshan Deep-Water Port. An international convention centre by the Dishui Lake is now under construction. What’s more, Lingang is also known as the new China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone Lin-gang Special Area.

Situated in the northwestern part of Shanghai, Taopu is home to Taopu Smart City, a high-tech research and development community with a focus on urban renewal and sustainability.

A new Artyzen Habitat property will also open at Hengqin in the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai. Today, Hengqin is a pilot free trade zone in Guangdong Province and it’s also a growing entertainment centre with tourism projects including Chimelong and Novotown.

Artyzen is also undertaking its first hotel in Singapore with the development of Artyzen Cuscaden Singapore located in the Orchard neighbourhood, with local Peranakan culture incorporated into the hotel’s design.

“Our growth strategy is centred on developing hotels in gateway and capital cities that have potential in the areas of tourism and business. The locations we are developing hotels in are also strategically important because of their proximity to commercial centres and hubs, cultural landmarks and entertainment destinations,” said Robbert van der Maas, president of Artyzen Hospitality Group.

Artyzen Hospitality Group is a subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed conglomerate Shun Tak Holdings. The group’s portfolio includes Zitan, Artyzen Hotels and Resorts and Artyzen Habitat.

Artyzen will be operating 13 hotels, with close to 3,000 rooms in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Macau, and Hawaii, including those under construction.
