Shanghai-based carrier Juneyao Airlines will start flying a daily non-stop service between Shanghai Pudong International Airport and Tokyo Narita International Airport from October 27.

The outbound flight is scheduled to depart Shanghai Pudong at 0835, before landing at Tokyo Narita at 1230, while the return leg will leave Tokyo at 1345 and arrive in Shanghai at 1625. Below is the proposed flight schedule:

Flight No. From To Departs Arrives Days
HO1379 Shanghai Pudong (PVG) Tokyo Narita (NRT) 0835 1230 Daily
HO1380 Tokyo Narita (NRT) Shanghai Pudong (PVG) 1345 1625

Juneyao Airlines will deploy its Airbus A321 on this route between October 27 and December 14. The aircraft has 12 business class seats in a 2-2 configuration and 178 economy class seats in a 3-3 configuration.

Business Traveller Asia-Pacific previously reviewed the airline’s A321 business class service.

From December 15, the airline will use a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on this route instead, which features 29 business class seats in a staggered 1-2-1 configuration.

Besides this new Tokyo Narita service, the airline also operates a three-times-weekly non-stop service connecting Shanghai Pudong and Tokyo Haneda Airport, which is served by an A321.

The airline also flies to other cities in Japan, including Osaka, Nagoya, Okinawa and Sapporo.
