Marriott has opened the first Boston property under its lifestyle brand Moxy.
Moxy Boston Downtown is located in the city’s Theatre District. Its 340 rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows, and guests can request a corner room with panoramic views over the city.
The hotel has free wifi throughout and offers 185 sqm of event space. It also has a bar, 24th-floor rooftop lounge and all-day restaurant called Bar Moxy.
Decor pays homage to the setting through theatre lights, raw concrete and warm oak plank walls as well as custom works by street artist Victor “Marka27” Quiñonez.
Marriott recently opened its fourth Moxy in New York. Other US locations include Washington DC, Chicago, Minneapolis, Atlanta, Memphis, Nashville, New Orleans and Seattle.
There are three Moxy hotels in Asia, in the Indonesia city of Bandung as well as in Osaka and Tokyo. A Seoul property is opening early next year.
There are also numerous European properties, including 14 in Germany, four in the UK and three in France.
