Indian low cost-carrier, Air Asia India, which currently operates from Terminal 2 (T2) of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, will be shifting its operations to Terminal 1B (T1). This transition will occur from from October 15, 2019.

Currently, Mumbai is Air Asia’s fourth hub in the country, preceded by Bengaluru, New Delhi and Kolkata.
In terms of domestic connectivity , Air Asia India announced the commencement of flights from Agartala to Imphal, Kolkata, Guwahati and New Dehli. Additionally, it has also announced the introduction of direct flights between Varanasi and Bangkok. The flights on this sector will be effective from November 25, 2019.
