Five Reasons we love the new Skoda Kodiaq Scout

We recently checked out the latest release by Skoda Auto, the Kodiaq Scout, and we have to say just how impressed we were. In 2017, The Kodiaq marked the carmaker’s entry into the full-size SUV segment in India, a segment that has always been a very dynamic one. In its latest interpretation, the Kodiaq Scout is an absolute visual treat and aims to target a high-end urban consumer, who could be driving on city roads during the week, and then on rugged countryside trails over the weekend.

Here are five reasons we are crushing on the new Skoda Kodiaq Scout:

  • An attractive price – Skoda Auto India announced the Kodiaq Scout’s attractive price of ₹33.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Speaking about this, Zac Hollis, director, sales, service and marketing, Skoda Auto India says, “This new model caters to a growing class of discerning customers with a penchant for luxury as well as the right value for money proposition.”
  • It’s so good looking – The Kodiaq Scout retains the signature design cues of the original Kodiaq, with a few modernised touches. For starters, we absolutely loved the the fact that this car is the first Skoda car in India to bear SKODA in block lettering on the tailgate, as opposed to the logo. The overall appearance of the car is sporty and muscular with a distinctive chrome wrap on the radiator grille. The Scout retains the characteristic stylised headlamps of the original Kodiaq. We also love the Anthracite R (18) Trinity alloy wheels and the square wheel arches.
Five Reasons we love the new Skoda Kodiaq Scout
  • The cabin is so chic – The stylish interiors with the wooden trims are so luxurious. The cabin comes with plush Alcantara leather upholstery, LED ambient lighting and a host of other innovations to make the drive a luxurious experience. There is also a three-zone air conditioning system, which enables different temperatures to be set for the driver, front and rear passengers. What we really loved was the power nap package, with custom-made blankets and a specially adjustable headsets.
  • Infotainment system – The fact that the car comes fitted with a suite of ten speakers, in a Canton sound system, renders the drive so pleasant. The infotainment system features a 7.8 inch touchscreen, developed by Skoda, and has integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Passengers can control functions like navigation, entertainment and assistance from the backseat, thanks to the new-age connectivity options like BossConnect, integrated with the Skoda Media Command App.
  • It’s so safe – Safety and security being the key points of focus for Skoda, the Kodiaq Scout comes equipped with the iBuzz Fatigue Alert, which detects signs of fatigue in the driver. In addition, there are many other features like adaptive front lights, anti-lock braking, electronic stability control, electronic brake-force distribution, mechanical brake assist among many others. There is also a hands-free parking technology which reduces the hassle of parking in cramped areas, especially on narrow city car parks. skoda-auto.co.in
