Latin American airline group LATAM has announced a new frequent flyer programme called LATAM Pass which brings together its previous schemes in Brazil and Paraguay.

LATAM said it would put a new focus on allowing the redemption of miles for flight tickets, the most popular service among its members.

Other services have also been added. Members will be able to use miles to pay for products directly through Amazon using a Google Chrome extension, earn miles while making reservations on Booking.com, and redeem miles at website Rentalcars.

Meanwhile Club LATAM Pass, which allows members to accumulate miles through a monthly paid subscription, has been extended to Argentina, Chile and Peru. The loyalty scheme has 38 million members.

LATAM is the biggest airline in Latin America. It is headquartered in Chile and has subsidiaries in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay and Peru.

It recently unveiled new premium products that will be retrofitted across its fleet, including a new business class seat and premium economy class.
