Marriott has opened a new hotel under its Luxury Collection brand in the capital of Guangxi Province, Nanning.
The Na Lotus Hotel has 290 rooms, including 26 suites. It resides in a high-rise landmark building and offers panoramic views of the city as well as Yong River and Qingxiu mountain through its floor-to-ceiling windows, says Marriott. The new property also features a 1,100-sqm ballroom, a fitness centre, and an indoor pool.
“We are excited to introduce Nanning to our Global Explorers, allowing them to discover the destination, also known as the Green City and it’s abundance of lush foliage,” said Anthony Ingham, global brand leader at The Luxury Collection.
“As a culturally rich ethnic minority area in Guangxi Province, the destination is a perfect gateway for travellers to experience through the lens of The Luxury Collection.”
Dining options include Chinese restaurant Na Lian which emphasises fresh Guangxi and Cantonese cuisines, a Sky Lounge that serves cocktails, wines and spirits, an all-day dining restaurant called The Clouds, and a Thai and Vietnamese fusion restaurant called Yun Yue.
There are more than 100 Luxury Collection properties worldwide in about 30 countries and territories.
Last month, Marriott International said it will eliminate small plastic bottles of shampoo, conditioner and bath gel from its hotel rooms worldwide by December 2020.
