DBS is planning to revamp its exclusive clients-only Asia Treasures Lounge at Changi Airport’s Terminal 3, the Singaporean bank has told Business Traveller Asia-Pacific.

“We have plans to remodel our T3 lounge early next year,” said Sze Lynn Tay, senior vice president, media relations and integrated content.

However, pushed for more information, she said: “I’m afraid we have nothing further to add.”

DBS operates two Asia Treasures Lounges in Singapore Changi Airport, one in Terminal 2 and one in Terminal 3. The Terminal 2 lounge was last renovated at the end of 2016, Tay said.

Visitors to these private, invitation-only lounges can enjoy signature Asian cuisine dishes including local Singaporean favourites such as carrot cake and nasi lemak. Chinese, Indian and Malay dishes are served as well.

Capacity in each lounge is limited to around 50 passengers.

Opening hours for each lounge are similar, with the T2 lounge opening from 6am to midnight every day, and the T3 lounge also opening at 6am but staying opening an hour longer till 1am.

Tay would not give any details on what will happen to the lounge during the renovation period, including whether or not the lounge will close and for how long it might close.

Business Traveller Asia-Pacific has asked Tay and DBS for photos of the current T2 and T3 Asia Treasures Lounges, but has not yet received a reply.
