Intercontinental Hotels Group has announced the opening of a third property under its boutique Hotel Indigo brand in Italy. Another recent Hotel Indigo openings in Italy is Hotel Indigo Venice Sant’Elena, the first IHG branded property on the island of Venice.

Hotel Indigo Milan – Corso Monforte is centrally located and is an ideal pick for those looking to explore the fashion capital.

Commenting on this new opening, Mauro Fiore, general manager, Hotel Indigo Milan – Corso Monforte said, “It’s very fitting to have opened our doors just in time for Milan fashion week in September one of the city’s most vibrant and exciting events.

“The hotel is a great example of how Hotel Indigo takes inspiration from the local neighbourhood into its design philosophy and is the perfect choice for those looking to explore Milan and immerse themselves in the fashion history of the city.”

The hotel’s décor is inspired by the surrounding neighbourhood, blending elements from 1950’s Italian vintage fashion with contemporary elements. Each of the 75 rooms are done in vibrant colours and feature bold prints, artwork and sketches by Biki, a notable fashion designer of the post-war period. The hotels is adorned with ‘hat box’ bedside tables, bowler hat lamps and sewing machines desks. Coffered ceilings and panelled walls add to the overall ‘vintage meets modern’ vibe of the hotel.
