Indigo has added Vietnam to its international network. Starting from October 3, the Interglobe Aviation-led airline will operate non-stop daily flights between Kolkata and Hanoi.
Hanoi is the airline’s 19th international and 75th overall destination.

Commenting on this announcement, William Boulter, chief commercial officer, Indigo said, “We foresee a rising demand for Hanoi, which is famous for its historic architecture and a rich cultural blend of Southeast Asian and French influence. Additionally, we are also expecting a high demand for the Buddhist circuit as Vietnam has a large Buddhist community.”
Vietnam is the fifth Southeast Asian country on Indigo’s network after Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and mostly recently Myanmar.
In other news, Indigo is celebrating its 13th anniversary with a special five-day sale, under which fares start from ₹999 on domestic and ₹3499 on international routes. This is valid for bookings from July 31 to August 04, 2019, for travel between August 15, 2019 and March 31, 2020.
