Budget hotel chain Easyhotel has reopened its flagship hotel on London’s Old Street following a refurbishment of its guest rooms.

The Shoreditch hotel’s 89 rooms start from £49.99 a night.

All rooms come with free wifi, ensuite bathrooms, heating and air conditioning.

There are currently 36 Easyhotels across Europe, with more than 20 in the pipeline, including new properties in Bristol, Oxford, Cardiff, Cambridge and Dublin, and at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

It is also planning openings in Dubai and – in firsts for the brand – Iran, Turkey (Istanbul) and Sri Lanka.

Easyhotel to expand in EMEA and make Asia debut

On the London renovation, Easyhotel CEO Guy Parsons commented: “I am thrilled to be opening our newly renovated flagship hotel on Old Street today.

“Every one of our super budget Easyhotels are based in a prime location and Old Street is no exception. London is one of the most popular cities to visit in the world and it has so much to offer whether your trip is for business or pleasure.

“Old Street is just the latest hotel in our busy opening programme as we expand Easyhotel across the UK and Europe. We were the first ever super budget hotel brand and despite other players entering the market lately, our growth is evidence that we remain the best.”
