Etihad Airways is to launch ‘Green Season’ flights from Abu Dhabi to Salalah in Oman. The UAE-based carrier will fly to Salalah four times per week between July 2 and August 31, 2019, which is the peak time of the green season.

Commenting on this launch, Robin Kamark, chief commercial officer, Etihad Aviation Group said, “Salalah is one of the most sought-after destinations in Oman, and Khareef (or Green Season) is an amazing season in which to visit. The green mountains and flowing waterfalls are rare and beautiful in this region, and less than two hours flying time from Abu Dhabi.

“Our new seasonal flights provide a great opportunity to experience this extraordinary destination at one of the best times of the year, either for a short break or an extended period.”

Etihad Airways will deploy its Airbus A320 aircraft on this route.

Following the launch of this seasonal flight, Etihad Airways will operate a total of 25 weekly flights between Abu Dhabi and Oman— 21 to Muscat and four to Salalah.
