In an effort to boost tourism in the region, Qatar Airways has announced the launch of new electronic visitor authorisation system by Ministry of Interior of the State of Qatar and Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC). This system will enable residents of Qatar to invite family and relatives from across the globe to visit Qatar during the ‘Summer in Qatar’ programme. Furthermore, state-owned flag carrier of Qatar has also partnered with QNTC to offer discounts of up to 25 per cent on airfares for all flights to Doha from more than 160 destinations worldwide. This is on for bookings until August 15, thereby enabling visitors to enjoy Summer in Qatar activities which include edutainment, sports camps, retail discounts across nine Doha malls and authentic experiences by Qatar museum among others.
