A new lounge has opened at TF Green Airport, a popular regional alternative to Boston Logan International Airport.

The new Escape Lounge features unlimited amenities including hot and cold food and drinks, seating with power outlets, high-speed wifi, local and national newspapers, and flight information displays. Food will be curated by local chefs.

The lounge is the first at the Providence, Rhode Island airport, and the 16th Escape Lounge worldwide.

“I think travellers now have expectations of airports to make their journey a bit better. It’s been a bit stressful in recent year,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation, according to GoLocalProv.

“So these sort of amenities make them feel at home with unlimited food, home cooked meals, unlimited champagne. So I think it adds to the experience at TF Green – a very easy airport.”

Day passes are available for $45 at the door or $40 if reserved in advance. Escape Lounges are part of the American Express Global Lounge Collection, giving American Express Platinum Card members (plus up to two guests) complimentary access.

Norwegian operates flights between Dublin and TF Green, and the airport is also served by Air Canada, Allegiant Airlines, American Airlines, Azores Airlines, Delta Airlines, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue, Southwest Airlines, Sun Country Airlines and United.
