Intercontinental Hotels Group is to add a new-build property under its boutique Hotel Indigo brand in the city of Chester later this year.
According to IHG the 75-room hotel will take inspiration from three elements of the city – “the material layers of its architecture, the iconic 1897 Eastgate Clock and the world-famous Chester Racecourse”.
There will also be a fine-dining restaurant by Simon Wood, winner of Masterchef in 2015. Wood Chester will offer 96 covers and feature a chef’s table and theatre kitchen, as well as a private dining room for up to ten guests.
Hotel Indigo Chester is currently taking reservations from October 1, 2019.
Major hotel brands already present in the northwest England city include Crowne Plaza, Doubletree by Hilton, Premier Inn and Travelodge, while properties under the Easyhotel and Marriott’s Moxy brands are also under development.
