Indian airlines waive off cancellation, rescheduling charges for Colombo flights

In the wake of Sri Lanka terror attack, Indian airlines including IndiGo and Air India are offering total waiver on cancellation and rescheduling charges for passengers flying to and from Colombo until April 24, 2019.

In addition to this, AirAsia has also introduced some options for customers who wish to change their travel plans. The airline said, “AirAsia continues to monitor the situation in Sri Lanka, however, confirms flights to and from Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo are operating as normal.”

Apart from a full refund, travellers can retain the value of fare in their AirAsia BIG Loyalty account for future travel — the online credit account is to be redeemed for booking within 90 calendar days from the issuance date for your travel. A one-time flight change on the same route within 30 days  is also available.
