Members of the World of Hyatt loyalty programme can now earn and redeem points at eight Thompson Hotels across the US, Canada and Mexico.

Thompson is the first former Two Roads Hospitality brand to join the World of Hyatt scheme, following Hyatt’s agreement to purchase the lifestyle hotel management company last year.

The eight Thompson properties are located in New York, Chicago, Nashville, Seattle, Toronto, San Lucas (Mexico), and Zihuatanejo (Mexico).

Another Two Roads brand Joie de Vivre Hotels will join World of Hyatt for stays from May 15, while Alia Hotels and Destination Hotels will join at an unspecified date in the near future.

To celebrate the news, members can earn 2,000 bonus points on their first stay at each of the new brands, plus a free reward night when they have stayed at all four brands. The offer is valid once the brands in question join World of Hyatt, for stays until December 31.

The four brands will add over 60 properties to Hyatt’s portfolio. Last year World of Hyatt partnered with Small Luxury Hotels to allow members to earn and redeem points at over 50 SLH properties.

Commenting on the news Mark Vondrasek, chief commercial officer, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, said:

“We are committed to quickly integrating these distinctive brands into Hyatt’s portfolio, allowing our guests to discover more unique destinations and connect to exclusive and rewarding experiences across their travel journeys.

“Within weeks of Hyatt acquiring Two Roads, we started to share sales leads across this collection of new brands to drive revenue and increase value for owners. We are thrilled to welcome Thompson Hotels as the first to join World of Hyatt, with Joie de Vivre Hotels to quickly follow.”
