Indian Hotels Company Limited has announced the opening of Taj Rishikesh Resort and Spa in Uttarakhand. This is the hospitality brand’s third property in the state.

Tucked away in a quaint space, the resort is located at a distance of over 30 km from Rishikesh and is close to tourist attractions such as Devprayag, Haridwar, Badrinath, and Kedarnath. Each of the 79 rooms offers stunning views of the Ganges and the majestic Himalayas.

Its F&B outlets include Rock Flour, an all-day dining restaurant serving local classics, wellness menu, and international cuisine.

Guests can indulge in a variety of experiences including river rafting and Ganga Aarti or enjoy spa treatments at the signature Jiva spa.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said “We are honoured to partner with Mehra for Taj Rishikesh Resort and Spa, an exciting new addition to IHCL’s expanding resort portfolio. With its idyllic setting and unrestricted views of the Himalayas, the resort is well positioned to tap into the growing potential of the wellness and spiritual tourism market. This is consistent with our commitment to offer global travellers new and unique experiences in hospitality.”

This is the second luxury property opened in Rishikesh recently — Earlier this month Roseate Hotels & Resorts opened The Roseate Ganges in the city.
