Members of Emirates’ frequent flyer programme, Emirates Skywards, can earn up to four times the usual miles when booking business and economy fares this month as part of a new promotion that ends March 31.

Bonus points can be accrued through booking with either Emirates or its low-cost affiliate Flydubai, which shares the same rewards programme.

There are a few limitations, notably a period of just over two months of blackout dates during the summer peak season. Bonus points can be accrued when booking flights that will depart between April 10 and June 27, and between September 6 and November 30.

Getting the full quadruple bonus points benefits also isn’t as straightforward as booking a ticket and collecting, and will take more than one purchase to accrue. Members will earn their base miles plus an additional 100 per cent bonus miles on the first ticket they book during the promotional period, with this increasing to 200 per cent for the second ticket and 300 per cent for the third.

Both business and economy class fares are valid for the promotion, provided they are Saver, Flex or Flex Plus Emirates fares, or Value, Flex or Business fares on Flydubai.

Members also have to register for the promotion here before they book in order to receive the bonus miles.

The promotion comes shortly after Emirates announced it had partnered with ride-sharing app Uber to provide passengers with discounts and complimentary rides in Dubai.
