IndiGo has cancelled multiple flights in last few days and is likely to not operate 32 more flights today. Under this, IndiGo’s flights from Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad have been disrupted.
Officials at the Bengaluru airport said that around 16 flights of the airline were cancelled on Sunday. Although, there has been no official confirmation on the total number of flights cancelled under IndiGo’s domestic network.
The low-cost carrier stated that the disruption is due to the hailstorm in North India. However, according to a report in PTI, the airline is also facing a shortage of pilots that has led to the flight cancellations.
IndiGo said, “As part of recovering our schedule, positioning of the crew and aircraft had to be readjusted. As a result, a number of flights were cancelled. We regret the inconvenience caused to our customers.”
Currently, IndiGo offers over 1300 daily flights and connects 52 domestic destinations and 16 international destinations. goindigo.in
