Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts’ return to Bangkok is expected to take place the third quarter of this year with the opening of the long-awaited Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Bangkok at Chao Phraya River, the company recently confirmed to Business Traveller Asia-Pacific.

The hotel group’s fourth property in Thailand has been under development for some time, first being announced in January 2015 just a few months prior to its original Four Seasons Bangkok property being rebranded as the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel and Spa.

Business Traveller reviewed the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel and Spa Asia-Pacific in 2016.

Four Seasons had previously scheduled the opening for some time last year, but 2018 came and went without the new property opening its doors.

Earlier this week, however, the company said its return to the Thai capital is now scheduled to take place this year, and has since confirmed with Business Traveller Asia-Pacific that it aims to do so in the third quarter of 2019.

The property will form part of a 3.6-hectare site set against the Chao Phraya riverfront featuring open courtyards, water features and artwork. Inside the hotel, guests will have access to three restaurants as well as a Latin American-inspired social club.

Both hotel rooms and private residences will be available at the property: 299 guestrooms and suites will be available for guests at the hotel, while an additional 366 units will form the private residences within a 73-storey tower adjacent to the hotel.

Four Seasons has three hotels in Thailand, including Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, and the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle in Chiang Rai.
