Scoot, a low-cost carrier owned by Singapore Airlines, has announced the expansion of its service in India.

Following this, the airline will be operating flights to three new Indian destinations — Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram and Visakhapatnam. Other Indian destinations under Scoot are Chennai, Amritsar, Jaipur, Kochi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Tiruchirapalli in India.

Starting from May 7, 2019, Scoot will fly between Singapore and Thiruvananthapuram five times a week. The Coimbatore and Visakhapatnam service will be operated five times and three times a week respectively, October 27, 2019, onwards.

The announcement comes months after Silkair declared the transfer of 17 routes to Scoot by 2020. The affected routes comprise services to destinations in South East Asia and China, in addition to India.  flyscoot.com
