
The Oberoi, Mumbai is hosting a week-long food and wine event from January 17 to January 20, 2019. The French “Culinary Showcase and Conclave” will see Executive Chefs Olivier Chardigny and Florent Maréchau of the 3-Michelin star Georges Blanc restaurant, France showcasing their culinary prowess with French cuisine.

The extensive French fare, prepared by the experts, will be available at Vetro, the Italian restaurant at The Oberoi, Mumbai, and will include dishes like Chaud-froid de Saint Jacques et caviar mousseline au safran (scallops carpaccio and caviar in a saffron sauce), Le Rouget barbet dans une essence marine aux Coquillages (red mullet in a shellfish sauce), and desserts like the Île flottante aux Pralines roses (floating island with pink pralines) and cheesecake à la Mangue parfumé au Citron vert et Menthe fraîche (mango cheesecake flavoured with lime and fresh mint).

The menu will be available as a Lunch Menu Du Jour, featuring a three-course tasting menu at ₹3,000 plus taxes, and dinner will include a four-course meal starting from ₹5,000 plus taxes.
Additionally, a special gala dinner, hosted on January 19, 2019, will include six courses priced at ₹7,500 plus taxes, and wines to complement them.
The conclave, organised for the chefs of The Oberoi Group, will include masterclass and cooking demonstration on French cooking. The conclave aims at offering insights on French gastronomy, the importance of sustainability, use of local produce, and authentic experience in the food business.
