Travellers from Bradley International airport in Connecticut will soon be able to fly nonstop to Denver on Frontier Airlines.

WFSB-TV reports that the discount airline will launch nonstop  flights from the Hartford area airport to Denver International Airport on March 28, 2019.

The airline has also added new nonstop services to Denver from Baltimore and Fort Lauderdale.

“Bradley International airport is a major economic driver for Connecticut and it continues to be a key player in our efforts to grow our economy, boost tourism, and improve our transportation system,” said Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy said.

“Frontier Airlines is a welcomed addition to Bradley airport. This announcement is proof of the airport’s growing strength, and it underscores the importance of continuing efforts to utilise Bradley as a magnet for economic activity.”

This is Frontier’s second attempt to establish service out of Bradley; the first flights were launched in 2007, but ended in the depths of the economic recession that soon followed.

Bradley airport already is served by low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines.
