Thai AirAsia, a joint venture of AirAsia and Thailand’s Asia Aviation, has introduced direct flights between Bangkok and Bhubaneswar.  The route is operated three times a week — Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

This new addition further strengthens the Thailand-based airline’s expansion plan in India. Last year, it started services to Jaipur and Tiruchirappalli as well.

Thai AirAsia stated, “The airline is excited to be bringing India and Thailand closer through convenient and affordable travel and to offer the people of Bhubaneswar more alternatives in travel through AirAsia’s Fly-Thru service and best connectivity offered.”

Thai AirAsia currently has direct flights from India to Thailand from seven cities — Chennai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, Kochi, Vishakhapatnam, and Gaya. airasia.com
