Jet Airways has entered into an extensive codeshare partnership with Saudi budget airline, flynas with the goal to upgrade connectivity between India and Saudi Arabia.

The agreement stipulates that Jet Airways will place its marketing code, ‘9W’, on flynas flights via Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam to popular tourist cities of Medina, Gizan, Gassim, Taif and Abha. This will provide Indian passengers the convenience of entering Saudi Arabia from one point and departing from another.

flynas, on its part, will offer its travellers access into India by placing its marketing code ‘XY’ on Jet Airways international flights that connect Jeddah to Mumbai and those that connect Riyadh and Dammam to Mumbai and Delhi.

Additionally, specific destinations within the Jet Airways domestic network will also have the flynas marketing code placed on them. These will include flights from Mumbai to Delhi, Kochi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Lucknow and those from Delhi to Bengaluru, Lucknow, Chennai and Kochi.

Marnix Fruitema, Executive Vice President – Commercial, Jet Airways, said, “Saudi Arabia is the second largest international travel market to/from India with almost 6 million passengers travelling between both countries annually for religious tourism, business as well as leisure. Our codeshare agreement with flynas reflects our continuing commitment to offer our guests the best possible connections to more and more destinations around the world and we are delighted to partner with flynas to offer guests of both the airlines wider network access and a seamless travel experience across the networks of both carriers. jetairways.com
