Accorhotels is bringing its Swissotel Hotels and Resorts to Indonesia for the first time with its debut property in the country scheduled to open in Jakarta in mid-2019.

The 412-room Swissotel Jakarta PIK Avenue will be located in a mixed-use lifestyle development in the popular Pantai Indah Kapuk residential district in the north of the city. The property will be a short drive away from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and major business hubs in North Jakarta.

Onsite food and beverage options will consist of six dining outlets and an executive lounge. Other amenities include the Purovel Spa and Sport facility, and an event space claimed to be the largest in the city measuring 3,044 square metres and capable of accommodating up to 3,000 guests.

“This is such an exciting time to introduce the Swissotel brand into Indonesia and particularly Jakarta to complement the Group’s growing portfolio of city and resort destinations throughout the region,” said Garth Simmons, COO Accorhotels Indonesia – Malaysia – Singapore.

Founded in 1980, the Switzerland-based Swissotel brand joined Accorhotels back in 2016 when it was acquired alongside FRHI Hotels and Resorts’ Fairmont and Raffles brands. Swissotel now operates more than 30 hotels around the world.
