Paramount House Hotel

Opened: April 2018

Situated at the former headquarters of Paramount Picture Studios, Paramount House Hotel is only a 20-minute drive from Sydney Airport and a 10-minute walk from Central railway station. The 29-room hotel has five room types, and each is outfitted with a mini bar. Guests can enjoy a range of entertainment and beverage options provided by other co-tenants, including Golden Age Cinema and Bar, Paramount Coffee Project, Poly Bar, and Paramount Recreation Club on the rooftop, which offers food, gym equipment and free group fitness classes. There is also a luxury office space located on the upper ground level.

The Collectionist Hotel Sydney

Opened: May 2018

Described as Sydney’s first “choose your own adventure” hotel, The Collectionist Hotel Sydney has flipped the traditional room selection model on its head. The Camperdown district property has just 39 individually designed suites, however instead of simply allocating rooms to guests in advance the hotel invites guests to take a look at their available rooms upon arrival and pick the one that best suits their preferences. That being said, if you’re a regular guest and have a particular favourite room you are able to reserve this in advance (frequent guests also get free upgrades and late checkout). Other highlights include digital check-in services and daily social drinks.

Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park opens in Chippendale

Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park

Opened: August 2018

Situated in Sydney’s bustling Chippendale district and just a few minutes away from Darling Harbour, Broadway and Chinatown, the new Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park is, as its name suggests, part of the city’s Central Park mixed-use development. The hotel focuses primarily on rooms as opposed to suites, with just two of its 297 accommodations being in the latter category. Guests also have access to an assorted mix of amenities and services, including an al fresco bar, an outdoor terrace and a 24-hour fitness centre. In terms of food and beverage options, Central Quarter restaurant offers local cuisine while Malt Bar provides a selection of craft beers, spirits and wines.
