Jet Airways has introduced 65 new weekly services on its domestic and international network. Following this, the full-service carrier, which is currently going through a turbulent time, aims to strengthen its presence over Mumbai and Delhi. Furthermore, Jet Airways is also offering a 30 per cent discount across its network.
Under this new schedule, the airline has added a daily direct frequency between Pune and Singapore. Additionally, Jet Airways has also added a third daily frequency connecting Singapore with both its hubs — Mumbai and Delhi.
The airline has also added a third service on its Delhi – Bangkok route, and a fourth frequency on the Delhi – Kathmandu route.
Raj Sivakumar, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Distribution, Jet Airways, said, “Focusing on our strategy of concentrating capacity, enhancing frequencies, and improving density and hub connectivity via Mumbai and Delhi Jet Airways has introduced additional frequencies to popular destinations. These new frequencies will offer our guests the choice to select flight as per their convenience and we are confident that these new flights will meet their travel requirements and provide our guests with seamless connectivity.”
Jet Airways has also increased services to the UAE—A second frequency to Doha from Delhi and Mumbai; and a seventh new daily frequency between Mumbai and Dubai. Interestingly, a few days back it was reported that the debt-laden Jet Airways is cancelling about 40 flights a week to seven of its Gulf routes to reduce operational costs.
Meanwhile, Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved the flight schedule of Jet Airways for the next five months.
