Accorhotels opens new Novotel in Okinawa

Accor Hotels has opened its first Novotel-brand property in Okinawa prefecture’s capital city Naha, blending contemporary Japanese art with traditional Ryukyu heritage.

The new 15-storey Novotel Okinawa Naha offers 360-degree views of Naha – the former royal capital of the ancient Ryukyu Kingdom – from the hills of Shuri district, and is a 15-minute walk to Shuri Castle, a Unesco World Heritage Site.

The property has 328 rooms with the Terrace Suite Rooms even featuring private balconies with direct pool access and views of the surrounding Shuri Hills. The interiors of the property offer similarly impressive visuals, with local contemporary artwork displayed throughout.

Dining options include Japanese restaurant Toki serving an array of authentic Japanese dishes and teppanyaki; Food Exchange Avancer offering local Okinawan dishes and international buffet; and the GourmetBar featuring a pastries, coffee and spirits. There is also BBQ Terrace, a poolside venue where guests can enjoy a selection of seasonable barbeque offerings. Guests staying in Terrace Suite Rooms and Premier Level Rooms also have access to the Premier Lounge, which also offers panoramic city views.

For business events, there are three meeting rooms capable of accommodating up to 540 guests. Other facilities include a 24-hour gym, an outdoor pool and a kids club, meanwhile if you’re looking to explore outside the property, the Novotel Okinawa Naha is also located near shopping areas such as Kokusai Street, Sakae Machi, and Naha Interchange.
