InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and SAMHI Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Nielsen India, conducted a survey on analysing the current challenges and travel considerations of road warriors in India. It was carried out in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad with 25-44-year-old respondents who travel largely for business across India.

The survey concluded that finding a hotel in the right location is one of the most challenging aspects while planning trips for frequent business travellers. As per the results, about 29 per cent of respondents ranked the location of their accommodation as a key aspect for their works trips.

Additionally, a comfortable stay is another important attribute with 18 per cent respondents choosing it.

Vivek Bhalla, Regional Vice President, South West Asia, IHG says, “All our market studies to date have shown that location is a key consideration for travellers in the mid-market segment. This survey confirms the same from a consumers’ perspective.”

Commenting on IHG’s partnership with SAMHI Pvt. Ltd., Bhalla adds, “Location has also been a pivotal element of our partnership with SAMHI as each of the 14 hotels in the Holiday Inn Express portfolio is located in a highly accessible, commercialised area which allows for convenient transportation, business services, and great dining options. Guests staying at a Holiday Inn Express hotel can rest assured that their stay will make them ‘More Than Ready’ for their travel mission.” ihg.com
