Legendary watchmaker, Jean-Claude Biver was recently awarded the special jury prize, for his outstanding contribution in the watch industry, at the 18th GrandPrix de l’Horlogerie de Genève.
In a career spanning over 45 years, Jean-Claude Biver has taken over the marketing and product development for Omega, developed new concepts and strengthened Hublot’s presence in the watch market.
In 2014, he was appointed as the President of the Watches Division of LVMH Group, wherein he overlooked the functioning of Hublot, TAG Heuer and Zenith company. It was under Biver’s leadership that TAG Heuer produced models that were based on affordable luxury.
Other highlights of his career include overseeing the introduction of Defy El Primero 21 at Basel World 2017 and contributing towards the renewal of Zenith in the industry.
In September this year, Jean-Claude Biver assumed the role of non-executive chairman of the LVMH watchmaking division.
