Hilton has opened the Canopy by Hilton Zagreb, the first property under its lifestyle Canopy brand in mainland Europe.
The 151-room property is located close to the city’s main Glavni Kolodvor railway station, as well as the Branimir Centar shopping centre.
Rooms interiors reference the industrial history of the local area, with local artwork and textiles, while the brand’s signature Canopy bedframe has been inspired by Croatia’s national emblem, and the carpets by traditional folK costumes.
Guests benefit from free breakfast in Canopy Central, or can opt to have a “Break Fast” bag delivered to their door.
Other facilities include ReUnion restaurant offering traditional Croatian specialities, two meeting rooms, and 24-hour fitness centre. Guests can also hire complimentary bikes during their stay.
Commenting on the news Simon Vincent, executive vice president and president Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hilton, said:
“With nearly 600,000 tourists visiting Zagreb between January and June 2018, the city is quickly becoming a must-see destination in Europe. With Croatia’s pristine beaches and vibrant cultural scene, we are pleased to be opening Hilton’s third hotel in the country following the Doubletree by Hilton Zagreb and Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik.”
The Canopy by Hilton brand launched in 2014, and debuted in the European city of Reykjavik in 2016. There are currently around ten Canopy hotels open in locations including Atlanta, Dallas and Chengdu, with a London property under development in the city’s Aldgate district.
