Mandarin Oriental is to open its first hotel in China’s capital city-Beijing.

Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing will be positioned at the centre of Beijing and is only minutes away from the prime shopping district of Wangfujing. The 73-storeyed boutique hotel boasts rooms that are a minimum of 55 sqm, which happens to be the largest in Beijing, and offers views facing the striking Forbidden City.

Upholding its reputation for culinary excellence, the hotel has two chic restaurants and a rooftop bar along with access to a stunning garden terrace. Café Ziwill offer all-day dining, with an emphasis on Asian cuisine. It will serve a dim sum selection created by Michelin-starred Hong Kong chef, Wong Wing-Keung. Mandarin Grill + Bar will serve classic grill-style dishes. The rooftop MO Bar offers a variety of cocktails to unwind and will also host live music performances. Additionally, the property also houses an impressive 25-metre pool.

Mark Bradford, General Manager of Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing said, “Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing will become the prime hotel address in Beijing this winter, offering supreme comfort, impeccable service, incredible cuisine and an unmatchable garden-terrace view of the UNESCO-listed Forbidden City. We are looking forward to welcoming guests very soon.”

Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing is expected to open its doors in early 2019.
