Hilton has announced a planned maintenance of its Hilton Honors system, which will result in two days of downtime for the loyalty programme.

The group sent an email out to members, and has posted a message on the scheme’s website, advising that a system upgrade will begin on Tuesday October 30 (central daylight time).

“During this time, you will be unable to enroll in Hilton Honors, access your account or redeem points. Please return to your online account after October 31 to perform these transactions,” said Hilton.

Members will also be unable to use the Hilton Honors Digital Check-In or Digital key services, and the group said that “There will also be a period where you will be unable to book, amend or cancel a stay but if you have a confirmed reservation, rest assured we look forward to seeing you”.

Earlier this year Hilton announced a revamp of its Honors loyalty programme, ditching the previous points plus miles and points plus points earning options, in favour of a simpler system.
