Swissport-owned Aspire Airport Lounges has launched its new loyalty scheme Aspire Rewards, which replaces the previous LoungeMiles programme.

The app-based rewards scheme offers the choice of redeeming points against lounge visits or e-vouchers for stores including John lewis and Marks and Spencer.

Members will earn four points per £1 spent at executivelounges.com on Aspire lounge visits, which the groups says mean up to 148 points per adult booking made.

Note that if the booking is made via a third party website, members can only earn a maximum of 50 points per booking.

Free visits can then be redeemed for 500 points, or members can choose to redeem 700 points for a £5 retail e-voucher at Amazon, Debenhams, John Lewis, Marks and Spencer and Pizza Express.

The above compares to the old LoungeMiles scheme, where users would receive a stamp each time they visited a participating lounge, with a free visit earned after five stamps.

In fact members of LoungeMiles were previously offered a £5 retail voucher after seven stays, but this benefit was suspended in 2016.

Note also that “one customer can take the opportunity to collect multiple points for group bookings and thus earn more rewards”.

The Aspire Rewards app is available to download via the Apple app store and Google Play – note that the loyalty scheme section of the group’s website at executivelounges.com still lists details of the now defunct LoungeMiles scheme.

Aspire recently opened a new facility at Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal (pictured above), joining around nine other existing Aspire lounges in the UK.
