Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened three new hotel bars at popular destinations across the Asia-Pacific region – Ink 360 at Intercontinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort, Sugarsand at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak, and Vana Nava Sky at Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin.

On the rooftop level of the Sky Tower at Intercontinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort, is, perhaps, the most notable of the three additions.

It is Ink 360, which offers panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains and ocean ( see picture above).

The interior, designed by Ashley Sutton (of Maggie Choo’s in Bangkok and Ophelia in Hong Kong fame), features a suitably quirky futurism style with metal octopi comprising parts of the bar and seating.

As for the drinks, Italian mixologist Giuseppe Carneli has customised conceptual beverages that combine traditional and contemporary styles and flavours.

For those who fancy a classic beach bar experience with sunset, jazz music and refined cocktails, Sugarsand at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak now has you covered. Located on the Seminyak beachfront, the two-level beachside bar resembles a jukung fishing boat decorated with Japanese elements.

On the drinks menu, guests can find a medley of suitably themed options including Japanese-inspired cocktails, sake and shochu. Moreover, Japanese inspired fresh seafood is also served.

Vana Nava Sky - Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin

The third venue, another new rooftop bar, is Vana Nava Sky located on the 27th floor of Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin. Guests are invited to enjoy a bird’s eye view of the Gulf of Thailand on the 60-square-metre, glass-bottomed Vana Nava Sky Deck more than 110 metres above the ground.

Accompanying the impressive setting are a range of more than 20 signature cocktails developed by celebrity mixologist Joseph Boroski.

Alongside its new bars, IHG is scheduled to open four new hotels across South East Asia including the Intercontinental Jakarta Pondok Indah and the Hotel Indigo Phuket Patong before the end of this year.
