Recently, FreshMenu, an online culinary platform has revamped its product offerings, by introducing some changes in its app. Under this, the food company has launched a wholesale menu change, express delivery system, new packaging and a user interface change.
Founded in 2014, by IIM-A alumni, Rashmi Daga, FreshMenu provides services in Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi-NCR. At present, it runs 36 kitchens with its own delivery system.
Among the new dishes added for veg options are Mex, Mediterranean and Arabic pita pockets, Mexican and Latin DIY soft tacos and veg biryani.
Non-vegetarian food options include quinoa biryani, fajita bowls, steaks/ spaghetti and keto. Other delicacies include an all-day yogurt smoothie bowl, pancakes, salads and wok smart.
Cleaner user interface
Additionally, FreshMenu has come out with a new, cleaner user interface (UI) to offer a hassle-free experience for consumer. To increase the visual appeal, the new UI focuses on food instead of the offers on display. As a part of this, FreshMenu now has funky illustrations from well-known artists to bring out a creative appeal. Based on the user’s buying pattern, FreshMenu provides a personalised recommendations tab, and keeps out unrelated offers.
Major food categories are broken down to smaller subsections in the revamped app for ease of ordering online. The new FreshMenu app also plans to integrate video playback, showcasing recipe, blog and other interesting videos.
FreshMenu received Series B funding in January 2016 of $16.5million led by Zodius and Lightspeed and raised $5million in Series A round of funding in 2014 from Lightspeed. The food delivery app also plans to raise $50-55 million from new investors in the next few weeks as a part of Series C funding. freshmenu.com
