Qatar Airways is boosting its services to Bangkok this winter season with a seventh daily service between Doha and the Thai capital set to take off starting October 28.

The new flight, operating as QR838 on the outbound leg, departs Doha in the morning, arriving in Bangkok in the middle of the evening. The return QR839 flight, meanwhile, flies out of Bangkok in the early afternoon and arrives back in Doha in the early evening.

Flight No. From To Departs Arrives Days
QR838 Doha (DOH) Bangkok (BKK) 835 1920 Daily
QR839 Bangkok (BKK) Doha (DOH) 1410 1800 Daily

Qatar Airways flies its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the majority of its flights to Bangkok, and this seventh daily service is no exception. These aircraft have a few different configurations, with the business class cabins varying in size quite significantly – one has 42 seats and another 24.

The actual seat products, however, are the same on two of these configurations with both laid out in a 2-2-2 format – direct aisle access is therefore not available to those in seats directly by the windows. Pitch comes in at 78 inches with a fully flat 180-degree recline, while width is 21.82 inches. The airline also outfits some of its 777-300ERs with its newest Qsuite business class seat.

Qatar Airways’ boosting of its Bangkok services comes shortly after the airline announced it would be launching a new route to Southeast Asia starting this December, to Da Nang in Vietnam.

This route will be the Doha-based airline’s third destination in Vietnam after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
