Travellers departing or arriving into Gatwick airport today should be aware of major disruption to rail services due to signalling issues.

The Gatwick Express has been suspended, and there is a very limited service running across the Southern and Thameslink network, due to a “total loss of power to NetworkRail signalling systems” in the Streatham area.

This has led to advice not to travel on rail services via London Victoria station this morning.

Thameslink services between Luton and Wimbledon have also been suspended until further notice.

In a tweet the Gatwick Express said that there is a limited rail service between London Bridge and Gatwick, but trains are expected to be very busy, and Gatwick airport is advising travellers to allow extra time for their journey.
