Air India is planning to hand over its exclusive art collection to the Ministry of Culture, which will display it in the National Gallery of Modern Art across various metros. Currently, the artifacts are stored in the Air India building in Mumbai. This includes a cluster of stone sculptures, woodworks, decorative friezes and exquisite clocks.
Works of legendary artists like MF Husain, Anjolie Ela Menon, Jatin Das, SH Raza, VS Gaitonde and KH Ara are a part of this collection.
Additionally, the flag carrier of India and Ministry of Culture are also discussing ways of preserving and maintaining these artifacts, some of which date back to the ninth century. airindia.in indiaculture.nic.in
