On June 27, Union Cabinet approved the Memorandum of Understanding  (MoU) between India and Germany on matters of civil aviation.

The MoU titled “Joint declaration of intent between India and Germany on cooperation in the field of civil aviation” focuses on developing air transport between the two countries, managing air traffic effectively and sharing knowledge on safety measures related to aviation.

In addition, the bilateral agreement also includes the building of heliports and helicopter emergency medical services.

The joint declaration is also expected to facilitate trade, investment and tourism between India and Germany.
