Under its “Passenger is Prime” programme, GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. has set up seven cardiac emergency resuscitation stations at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. These emergency stations have been spread across the airport’s passenger terminal building sections. These include the domestic security hold area, international security hold area, checkin zone, domestic arrivals, international arrivals and the airport village area.

The cardiac emergency resuscitation stations at the Hyderabad airport are equipped with medical amenities like an automated external defibrillator (a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart during cardiac arrest), an intubation kit, suction kit, an oxygen cylinder, first aid box and a stretcher. The airport staff members are also being trained to access these stations during any medical emergency. A crash cart( a trolley carrying medicine and emergency equipments) has also been introduced at the domestic arrivals’ baggage conveyor belt.

Currently, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has a 24-hour medical center with well-trained doctors, paramedics and pharmacy. hyderabad.aero
