US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un met in Singapore for the 2018 North Korea–United States summit. Donald Trump stayed at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore and Kim Jong-un chose The St. Regis Singapore for his stay.

Meanwhile, the summit was held at The Capella Resort on Sentosa Island. Spread across 30 acres of land, this luxurious property has 112 manors, suites and guestrooms. The resort offers a space of 2276 sqm for organising meetings and social events.

Following the Trump-Kim summit, Singapore says its tourism sector, especially hospitality has benefited from a boost.
