Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) has added a third Crowne Plaza property in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, following the rebranding of the existing Riyadh Palace hotel.
The Crowne Plaza Riyadh Palace joins the recently opened Crowne Plaza Riyadh RDC Hotel and Convention, as well as the existing Crowne Plaza Riyadh Minhal.
Features of the 304-room property include free wifi, an outdoor pool and poolside restaurant, lobby level Palace restaurant, fitness centre, spa, Club Lounge, business centre and five meeting rooms.
The hotel is located in the Ministries Quarter of the city, around 30 minutes’ drive from King Khalid International airport.
There are now a total of eight IHG properties in Riyadh, operating under the Crowne Plaza, Intercontinental and Holiday Inn brands.
Commenting on the rebranding Pascal Gauvin, Managing Director, India, Middle East and Africa, IHG, said that tourism was an integral part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to attract more foreign visitors, adding that “the hospitality landscape is developing at an astonishing pace and we are keen to take advantage of this massive opportunity”.
