Jet Airways and AeroMexico, Mexico’s global airline, enable codeshare sales from today for travel bookings starting May 1, 2018, between Delhi and Mumbai in India and Mexico City via the Heathrow Airport in London.

The agreement will provide travellers enhanced connectivity and access to the networks of both Jet Airways and Aeromexico.

AeroMexico will put its “AM” code on the direct flights offered by Jet Airways from London to cities in India. Jet Airways will put its “9W” code on flights operated by AeroMexico from London to Mexico’s capital city.

Passengers using this codeshare will also enjoy the earning and redemption benefits of the privilege programmes of both the airlines – Jet Privilege and Club Premier.

The airlines hope to strengthen ties in the areas of trade and tourism between the two countries that have seen a compounded annual growth of 15 per cent.

“This is an important agreement for the Jet Airways, as it enables us to offer our guests more connectivity options to Mexico which is gaining more and more traction with the discerning Indian traveler looking for new experiences. We are confident that this relationship will help facilitate demand for not only leisure but also in the fast growing trade and business cooperation areas between both nations,” says Gaurang Shetty, Whole Time Director, Jet Airways.
