AirAsia India started direct flights between Imphal and Delhi yesterday. The daily flight departs from New Delhi airport at 0940 and reaches Imphal at 1225. On its return journey, the flight takes off from Imphal at 1225 and lands in Delhi at 1600.

The airline has also inducted a new aircraft in its fleet and will launch daily services between Kolkata and Imphal, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Pune and Bagdogra starting May 11.

AirAsia India currently flies to Kochi, Goa, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Pune, Guwahati, Imphal, Vizag, Hyderabad, Srinagar, Bagdogra, Ranchi and Bhubaneswar from its three hubs in Bengaluru, Delhi and Kolkata. It operates 104 daily flights to 16 destinations with a fleet of 18 A320 aircraft.
