Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer

Scandic Frankfurt Museumsufer

Previously operated by Wyndham Hotels, this hotel has been renamed the Frankfurt Museumsufer hotel under new management by Scandic Hotels. Located in the centre of Frankfurt, the hotel lies in close proximity to the main train station and the Frankfurt Opera, as well as the Museumsufer area, which comprises more than 20 museums. The hotel also offers a newly-designed conference area that includes seven conference rooms, the largest with room for 170 people. The hotel’s restaurant and bar offers a buffet lunch and various types of international food. Room types include Standard, Superior Best View and Master Suite.

Embassy Suites by Hilton New York Midtown Manhattan

Embassy Suites by Hilton, New York City

Opened in January, this hotel in Midtown Manhattan spans 39 storeys. It offers 274 rooms and suites, each offering high-end decor and views of the New York City skyline. Amenities convenient for business travellers include a business centre, printing services, express mail services and meeting rooms. In addition, the hotel has a 24/7 gym as well as a central lounge that offers drinks and snacks. As for dining, guests can head to the SkyLawn Bar and Social Space (open seasonally) or the Heist lobby bar. The Element Moline, Illinois

Element Hotels, Marriott International’s environmentally conscious brand, has opened its first property in Illinois. Part of the Element Moline is housed in what used to be one of the city’s oldest edifices, a 1916 warehouse called the O’Rourke Building. All 96 guest rooms come with eco-friendly amenities, such as low-flow toilets and taps, filtered water systems and organic soap. The hotel also includes nearly 300 sqm of meeting and event space as well as an indoor pool and 24-hour fitness centre. The Element Moline is part of The Q, a multi-use building that also houses a train station with services to Chicago.

Hotel Indigo Durham

Built from a former university building called Old Shire Hall, this hotel lies near Durham’s cathedral and castle in the north-east of England, which together make up a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These landmarks served as inspiration for the boutique hotel’s ornate design, as did the nearby Durham University. Some of its 83 rooms feature the university’s official purple colour. Guests can dine on the Anglo-French menu at the Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar and Grill, or choose wine or craft beer at the Rotunda bar. The hotel is within walking distance of Durham train station.
