Lufthansa has launched A380 operations from its Munich hub, with superjumbo flights to Los Angeles, Beijing and Hong Kong.

As reported last year, the German carrier has shifted five of its 509-seater A380s from to Munich, leaving nine superjumbos at Frankfurt.

Flights LH452/3 to and from Los Angeles, as well as LH722/3 to and from Beijing, and LH730/1 to and from Hong Kong are all now served by the A380.

Lufthansa’s superjumbos are configured for four classes, with 371 seats in economy, 52 in premium economy, 78 in business class, and eight in first class. A seat map of the aircraft can be seen here.

Lufthansa is not the first carrier to offer regular A380 flights from Munich – Gulf airline Emirates serves two of its three daily Dubai-Munich flights with the superjumbo.
